Wonderful News

I have been a bad blogger recently but, I have a very good excuse. I don't normally post about many personal things but I just have to share this news. My eldest daughter has given birth to our first Grandchild, Emily Grace was born on the 4th of December weighing a very healthy 8lb. She is so beautiful with lots of dark hair, and it brings back many happy memories of my own three daughters when they were babies.

Hopefully normal blogging will resume fairly soon, but I might have to do a bit more cuddling first!!

  1. What a beautiful baby girl - congratulations :-)
I guess this was one of the distractions that you were talking about.

  11. Oops, Sandra, sorry, I assumed she was a niece rather than a grand daughter. I am not good at reading carefully as I respond to visual things much more and then jump to conclusions (not good at exams!). I think its because your work is so light, youthful and contemporary that I couldn't imagine you could possibly be a Grand mother! .......a very young one I am sure!

  12. Thanks Niki for that lovely compliment. My daughter who has just had the baby is 23 and I was 29 when I had her. My middle daughter is 21 and my youngest daughter is 15, so they keep me feeling young and very busy.

  13. Congratulations! What a beautiful baby! I have 2 granddaughters, Emily 12 years old, & Gracie who turned 8 on Dec. 18. I am also an artist ,who is having a very dry spell at the moment, so your blog appeals to me for many reasons.
Enjoy the holidays with your granddaughter. There is nothing as precious as a new baby!
